Creating "any" option in the drop down list

Modify search template

With an FTP manager browse to the “templates” folder on your server which is located in the vldPersonals installation. In the “templates” folder you will see themes that you currently have. Double click on the one you use, open “search.tpl” file and find this code:

<!-- ELSEIF field_type = "combo" -->
  <select class="select" id="field_{field_label}" name="{field_label}">
     {dropdownlist:field_items,field_value}
  </select>

Now to add “any” option to the countries list, you should replace it with this code below:

<!-- ELSEIF field_type = "combo" -->
  <!-- IF field_label = "country" -->
    <select class="select" id="field_{field_label}" name="{field_label}">
      <option value="">All countries</option>
      {dropdownlist:field_items,field_value}
    </select>
  <!-- ELSE -->
    <select class="select" id="field_{field_label}" name="{field_label}">
      {dropdownlist:field_items,field_value}
    </select>
  <!-- ENDIF -->

Obviously if you would like to add “any” option to some other drop down list, then you should change “country” on the second line, to the “label” of your drop down list.
