Member Profiles

    You can add, edit and remove profile fields as you like. Each profile field can be of a different type such as drop down box, text box, text area, radio box, etc. You can also choose what pages to display the fields on.
  • Organize profile fields into groups
    Profile fields you create can be organized into groups for better management and more attractive appearance.
  • Multiple member types
    vldPersonals allows you to set up multiple member types if you require it. This is useful if your website targets different types of members, for example artists and musicians. In this case you’d want to have different profile fields for each member type.
  • Personal photos
    Each member can upload a profile photo that will be displayed just like an avatar on the website in various places such as search results, friends lists, favorites lists, etc.
  • Members referral system
    With the integrated referral feature your members can refer their friends to your site and earn credits. Upon earning a certain amount of credits, members can optionally receive paid membership at no cost. You get to choose how many credits are required and the term of paid membership.
  • Multiple ways to approve members
    You can choose to require members verify their emails before they can use your site. You can also choose to automatically approve members accounts, or review each account manually.

Membership and Member Groups

  • Create and manage member groups
    Member groups help you separate different types of members based on their membership type. You can create as many different member groups as you need.
  • Customizable member group permissions
    You can customize each member group to allow your members various permissions and limits. For example you can allow paying members to upload twice as many pictures, or increase the size of their private message box.
  • Setup trial memberships
    If you decide to offer paid memberships, you can also choose to offer trial memberships to your new members as a bonus before they make a payment.

Communication and Messaging

  • Instant messaging
    vldPersonals comes with a built in chat that allows your members to chat with each other in real time.
  • Private messaging
    Your members can also communicate with each other via private messages. This ensures members privacy as none of their contact data is revealed.
  • Filter unwanted words
    You can set up the word filters to keep your website safe and secure. System will make sure to filter all possible content including private messages, chats, blogs, guestbooks, etc.
  • Mass email/private messaging
    Send out newsletters and private messages to your members right in the control panel. You can choose to filter your recipients based on various profile data such as country, age, sex, etc.
  • Newsletter management
    Keep track of sent and pending newsletters in case you would like to resend it again or modify it.

  • Members can upload pictures, video and audio files
    Your members can upload all kinds of content. You can choose how many pictures, videos and music files each member can upload, or choose to allow unlimited uploads if you prefer.
  • Custom dimensions for pictures and thumbnails
    Specify preferred dimensions for members pictures and system will automatically resize them. This will ensure consistent browsing and will also help you save on bandwidth costs.
  • Automatic watermarks on pictures and videos
    vldPersonals can optionally place your logo or any other watermark on uploads pictures and videos. By branding members media content you can rest assured that no other website will steal your members files.
  • Build in audio and video player
    Your members can view uploaded videos and listed to music right on your website without having to download any third party software.
  • Rate uploaded media content
    Keep track of popular content by allowing members rate what they like. Members can optionally disable rating if they don’t want anyone rating their content.

    Members can keep track of each other by listing themselves as friends. They will then easily see if their friends are online and can instantly chat with them.
  • Keep track of favorite profiles
    Your members will never lose another profile that their liked by adding it to the favorites list. Unlike friends, favorite members do not require approval to be added to another member’s favorites list.
  • View profile visitors
    Your members can make new friends by checking who viewed your profile and when.
  • Invitation system
    Invitation feature allows you to grow your member database by letting your members invite their friends who are not yet signed up on your website.

Events

  • Customizable event fields

    Event creator can upload pictures for each event. Administrator can specify how many pictures can be uploaded or even allow unlimited uploads.

    Your members can create events as well as join others. Each event will be displayed in members profile so other members can always find and join them.
  • Calendar for easy event browsing
    For easier event browsing, all events are automatically displayed in the calendar. Members can browse by dates and join events of their choice.

Polls

  • Create and manage polls
    Administrator can set up various polls in the control panel. You can also run multiple polls at once.
  • Ajax based functionality
    Members can leave their votes without having to wait while the page refreshes. After the vote, results are instantly shown on the page.
  • Unlimited number of questions and answers
    Each poll can have as many questions as you like. You can also edit the number of answers in the control panel if you prefer.

Spam and Abuse Prevention

  • Block annoying members
    Block or delete spammers or abusive members from your website to protect others from them.
  • Filter out unwanted words
    Set up a word filter in the control panel to keep your website safe and secure. Any content of your choice will be filtered based on your requirements.
  • Same IP registration delay
    Prevent duplicate registrations by limiting how many members can register with the same IP address during a certain timeframe.
  • Customizable captcha functionality
    Stop automatic content submissions by using captcha feature on your site. It requires members to type in security code before making submission.
  • Report inappropriate content
