Hi,
I found about vldPersonals, that was an unknown system to me before.
I've seen that a successful site was using this system.
Well, I already own a dating site, that was made using a generic CMS (available in my signature).

This site has many things : Photo, Blogs, searchable profiles with custom fields, a customizable interface and a home made backend.

I have looked at the features offered by vldPersonals, and I would like to launch another dating site, but with more generic and more fit features.

I would like to know :
- How good is the search system in vldPersonals and how far can it go ?
- Do profile pictures have different presets ? (For example, the possibility to click and have a zoom on them)
- What about access settings ?
- And, what about payment settings ?

How does the credit system work ?
Can I create features that require credits eg: Being featured on homepage, Adding more photos, sending more messages etc ?

1. What software do you use for image manipulation? GD library, ImageMagick, etc.?
2. Any support of Canadian postal codes in addition to ZIP codes?
3. What's about chained select-boxes e.g.: Country -> State/Province -> City? Does your software have this feature?
4. Will I be able to create a category tree for articles?
5. Does your event system have any geographical filter?

I see VLD makes the use of extensions, but I was wondering if you had a list of all possible extensions that can be used? Just so I can get an idea of how customizable it is.

Also, can one make it available on the public profile, when the last time a user was logged in?

Hello.
I am going to buy a licence to migrate my dating site that is based on osDate.
Currently I have 8.300 real users and subscriptions are growing fastly.
My problem is that my site has a high rate of unsubscriptions, because some features don't work fine and site is not user friendly at all.
So I decided to migrate to vldpersonals to offer a more stable service to my users.
Actually I am changing my server with a new one. Then I will move my site on the new server and will migrate to vldpersonals.
I need some time to understand how many data I can transfer from osDate to vldpersonals.
Obviously I will need to rent a coder, because I am not a programmer.
If someone experienced with vldpersonals and osDate is interested to do this job, please contact me.

Affiliate system

I was just about to buy when I realised there is no affiliate system for this software, is this right? I was either going to choose between this or emeeting, I like this far better but I really need the affiliate system as I have 4 high traffic web sites owned by other people who will be signing up and need accurate tracking, i.e. how many referral's and then how many referral's have paid...

I've been reading through the forum and have seen that 3rd party software can be used, how accurate will this be? I mean yeah its easy to track referral's but how can I track who has then went on to pay?

This is kind of a deal killer for me, I really like the look of this software and the support from the forum looks great, could you advise if an affiliate system will be integrated in the future or if there is already one and I'm not seeing it,

I decided to try on vldPersonal, but when I go to purchase page they bring me to 2checkout.com. I thought I can use paypal to pay since I've seen the paypal logo on the purchase' page. So, where should I pay using paypal?

I am trying to order but I only have an amex and it will not allow me to use it? Its says only visa or MC. Please advise.
