Hi all,

I was so impressed with what I got for the money that I thought I should take a short moment to write a post here.

I am going to launch soon with my installation of vldPersonals, and it is very heavily customized, and I believe is one of the best VLD sites out there.

I just wanted to reassure any potential buyers how efficiently coded the whole platform is. There are variables for 99% of every possible scenario. The referencing and naming syntax is consistent throughout the whole site.

It took some getting used to, but once you got the hang of it, woah -- it's easy to work some serious magic. The mods I have done myself, just by figuring things out:

1) Showing a message post-activation asking them to update their profile and redirecting them to their profile page, the whole way guided. This is a one-time cookie-based message that never appears again for the life of the account.

2) Setting a maximum number of allowable checkbox selections on a specific checkbox field.

3) Performing a full visual overhaul, with all icons and graphics completely changed and added.

4) Advanced customization of specific scenarios. E.g. when a user creates an account, the system sends them a welcome private message. This message, by default, comes in a standard template, so it has a clickable link to the profile of the sender (the website admin account) and a reply button. In order to lock out any interaction with the website admin account, I was able to use code to specifically remove the link to the admin and remove the reply button JUST for that one message.

This is just a few examples of what I've done.

Bottom line: the source code is very clean, very modular, very consistent, very intuitive. Only the core engine is encoded for copyright protection - everything else is editable to your heart's content.

Vlad et al, you guys are truly master coders. Thanks a million.
