This is our 2nd website using VLD and love it. We don't use it as a dating platform, but find it can fit a variety of business concepts. We have never had such prompt customer service from any other company... ever. They are amazing. As amateurs, the customization service is something we couldn't live without. The team that provides the custom work for us feels like friends that really care about our business. It all begins with customer service, however, and VLD really cannot be matched in our opinion. From what I read, we're in good company with all of the VLD fans out there. We wish all the best to all of our VLD comrades and thank Vlad, Mark, and their entire support team for all they do.

Hey guys,

I'm new to the vldPersonals CMS and this is my first post in these forums. So, first, I'd like to say "hello", but more importantly, I want to briefly write about a recent experience with Vlad's amazing support.

After installing the system on my server and exploring features, I found an unusual problem, which turned out to have nothing to do with vldPersonals.

When creating a new user account, a validation email is sent with a verification link. However, when clicking that link, I would be taken back to the website and an error would appear that would say "Invalid Member ID or Hash".

Vlad patiently correctly diagnosed that the problem was most likely caused by a browser addon. As it turned out, the situation was caused by a Firefox addon that retrieves info on the destination of website links when the mouse hovers the link.

When I would try to click the emailed validation link, for a brief moment, the addon would follow the link to retrieve information, and that was activating the account. Then, by the time I actually clicked the link, the account had already been activated. Effectively, I was trying to activate twice because of that browser addon.

What an absurd and random problem, but I was quite impressed that Vlad came up with that answer.

If you're still undecided about which dating package to use, VLD is the only way forward. Even for a non-programmer like myself, the customisation has been fairly simple. More importantly, my members are able to navigate around my site very easily.

Just want to let future buyers know that this is the best dating script ever. Super support and no bugs. I am honest and was looking for an honest website and good people to buy from. I once bought a script and it was full of bugs. I paid $500 plus $150 for template and it was crazy with bugs. Starting your dating site? Buy VLDpersonals!!

After several months in development and trying various other packages, I took my first site live with vldPersonals in May. I have to say I am EXTREMELY pleased with the quality of the software and support. I regularly meet in person with some of my most active members and they all tell me constantly how great the site is, and how easy it is to navigate. They love the features.

This is all due to vldP. I've been able to customize the site extensively, even with limited knowledge of CSS and templates. All the features my members are asking for I've been able to implement myself in a very short time frame, or by purchasing inexpensive add-ons.

The support I've gotten from the vldP crew has been outstanding. I've had to contact support a few times (always due to something I've done wrong) and they have always help me resolve the problems quickly (same day).

For all the new folks thinking about getting VLDPersonals. Do it!.....To me VLD Personals is like WordPress for dating/Social Site it really flexible.

Just look at sites like www.Vldcrowd.com built on vldPersonals

I purchased my VLDpersonals script in 2007, I had absolutely no problems with vldpersonals at all. My seo manager recommended to me in Jan 2011 that I change scripts to increase my user interactions and that would increase my incoming traffic. I followed his advice and purchased social engine 4. Worst mistake I ever made. Not only did the script not install that easy, it was more expensive then vldpersonals ($250), tech support was terrible and it required a dedicated server. Long story short, after 3 months of trying to make social engine 4 work. I gave up and came back to the best script in the world (VLDpersonals). Sorry I ever doubted you VLD.

I love Vlad. Your code is clean, well thought out and not over bloated like all the other software out there. My only complaint would be that you might want to consider providing 24/7 live chat support via a 3rd party company.

This script is an AMAZING foundation if you have knowledge of php / mysql or want to make life easier on devs you'd like to hire.

I'd also like to see better support for forum integration as I believe there are bugs with user mapping in the latest version of phpbb3 3.0.8. Perhaps a bug reporting portal like jira, etc.

Other than that I love your code. One question though...did you use kayako as a basis for the backend CP and template management? Looks awfully familiar.

Vld Capabilities are truly unlimited.

For new users, with enough time anything is possible,
I just opened / launched my site so looking for opinions, But here are a few options I have implemented.

Tool tips that stay in bounds,
Advanced profile look,
Works like a frames website.
Zip code radius that display miles distance from user searching.
Who’s online filter also works by distance.
Video passwords.
Gender blocking mod
Group photo chat rooms.
Awesome events mod.
Multiple photo uploads,
Ability to send images through internal email.
Password videos
Take personal notes on any profile.

And so much more….To much to list

You guys have done an awesome job with this software. Support is great, forums are very helpful, there are tons of features in the Control Panel, so I just recommend new users get familiar with it. You seem to have all the bases covered.
