Hi vld staff, how are you?

Any clues on when is the next version being released? Anything about which new features, fixes, differences?

Thanks!

Re: next version

Vlad, we were asking if you could tell us anything in advance, before the new version is released.

Re: next version

Please do not make new releases if they are not very important. Most of us have customised their sites and small releases just disturb our time and it make nosense. A big update desearves our efforts to update.

Re: next version

Any update is welcome. I am constantly looking for updates so I can present them to my members.

Re: next version

Rombest....just don't update when a new version comes out. Unless there is a feature I just can't live with out, I usually don't update for several versions for reasons you stated.

This is lose lose situation, we don't get updates and vld doesn't get any money.

Think of it this way, if we stop releasing new updates, we will lose our business. Simple as that. But even if you think that could happen, you still shouldn't be concerned because vldPersonals is open source so you can always hire a developer to customize/improve it further.

Re: next version

vlad,

I am planning to run new site, but I am waiting for new update. Can you tell us approx. when it`s goin` to be? I am quite tired of checking the forums every 1-2 hours and waiting new version.

Thank you very much.

Re: next version

Personally, I hope it does not take long, but far more preferable is the release of stable code with value added features and/or benefits.

There is no point is rushing code out the door to meet some arbitrary timeline, when it may not have been thoroughly debugged, road-tested, or thought out.
This would only lead to more grief, more angry forum & help desk posts, and make everyone feel crappy, both company and customers.

Like everyone else, I hope it is soon, but I will take stability, and features, over speed of delivery.
