Topic: Looking for cusomization and adding more feautre

Hi

Any one here can help me to add a few features and new template to the vld script. Here is what I need.

1- Chemistry matching system like eharmony.
2-ajax live chat with msn,gmail, yahoo accounts integration.
3-hyperlink the users city, country in their profile, where link would lands to all users from these cities and countries.
4-Cloud tages .

I thinks VLD should keep up with top ranking dating sites in features and capability. other wise there is no need to have so many online dating sites where there are ones that offer better features to help datiing seekers.

You need to be familiar with php to add those features. If you're not, your best bet is to hire a developer. Submit a help desk ticket for customizations if you prefer.

There are features that vldP has, that those other sites do not. Besides, eharmony is not a script, but a dating site that has developers on their payroll to keep the site running - so this is not even close to a fair comparison. You could be like eharmony, hire a developer on your staff,  hire someone to make changes,  or have equivalent knowledge.

On your list, the cloud tag may be easy to install. It is probably a basic jquery script that can be installed on any site. You may want to take a look at hotscripts.com or http://www.dynamicdrive.com/. You may find what you are looking for.

I totally agree. With 232 of employees eHarmony invests more than $1 million every month only to pay salary, I'm not saying about their patented matching psychological system that probably costs millions as well (at least they want us to believe it does).

In addition to what radio, vlad and 232 here said, I have checked out a LOT of systems and if you are clever, you can use the very unique features inside VLD to create any number of business models.

Also, who needs another e-harmony? Those users who want those kinds of features will go there and are hardly likely to come to you are they? I mean there is nothing new and you are positioning alongside a site with REALLY DEEP pockets.

An even more and less understood component about human relationships is WHY any 2 people are really together. Patent or not, I personally want to figure out things on my own and not be presented with pre-decided selections.

Example:
Lets say you were asked to define your interests. Are you 100% positive you will enter the same ones 1 month down the line if you did not remember the exact ones you entered the first time? Probably not. So much for patented stuff.

MSN YAHOO GMAIL integrations are unlikely to provide much success because these sites don't provide you the email address of the user. So what are you really getting? I don't care about these sites login with <any site here> features. I would like only people that are properly registered on my site to access the features and interact with the other members.

Also, how many users on the above sites, including facebook, have real accounts or are real people? There are a very large proportion of fake accounts.

So while all these are supposedly good ideas at attracting more members, they are in reality nothing even close. The ONLY way to build a site is ONE MEMBER AT A TIME, slowly and steadily. Yeah I know its hard work but then thats how it works.  smile

Look at the software and figure out unique models to attract members. Don't be just another site like eHarmony or the like. I am sure you will be more than happy with what you get from VLD.

As for customization and look and feel, you can get these from VLD quite cheaply but do try to get something unique and not fall into the trap of copying another site.

Guys thanks for all your comment.

I am sure  every one here wants to have a good and perhaps high traffic site so do I ,which will end up to more $$$. I am not sure why should some one use our sites if they can use the site like plenty of fish or such which are more popular with more " online users" who can interact more then just sending  text message . Unless we have more to offer not less . We all know e-harmony and plenty of fish and match etc they all offering almost the same features. Why would plenty of fish went and added the chemistry feature to his site because his competitions were offering something that he didn't.  I understand that e harmony maybe has $1000000 in payroll every month but in the other hand pof is only one man show site ( I  heard Markus hired a programmer not too long ago )  so it is not impossible to change the game to your favor. so correct me if I am wrong ,aren't we all in this game to make our site which we are hopping becomes our full time job with $$$$. I always ask my self why would some one want to use our dating site if they can use sites like POF and other well made sites for free? " Unless you have more to offer ?
So I am looking for some one who have have great experience with VLD and is able to integrate more features that are not part of the VLD modules yet? so pm me if you are willing to work in this project.
