Yesterday I launched my site (www.matrimoniale.ro) and had my first 50 registered members. I'm running a marketing campaign so I don't know if this number will be the same after the campaign will be over. One thing I noticed is that I have a lot of pending accounts, registration is made using email validation and probably sometimes the validation email goes to Spam directory. Do you think I need to avoid the account validation via email?

I do not use email validation, but I also have my site programmed so members can not contact other members until the admin approves their image.
May I ask what marketing campaign you are running?

For 2.5.3 you do it this way:
CP - Members Groups - Regular Members - Member Pictures Privileges
Can approve own pictures - yes or no (I have it set to no)
I believe it is the same for 2.5.6.
