I need to create a membership group for females. So, as soon as a female registers, she will be automatically included in the females membership group which will be a lifetime free membership...
how can I do that?

can`t at this time
but you can setup a cronjob to move profiles that are setup as women to be moved to another group ID

Men will register as women and will may send messages for free instantly. Better do it manually if you have a quality dating site. Like this you avoid scammers from Africa infest you site ans sent mass messages to men.

This should be simple to explain in a post or paid for PDF. I know this because this site: www.ColombianOnlineDating.com does it.
I too want to modify VLD to allow women to register and be placed in a FREE Membership group while the men have to 'pay to play'.
Also incorporated in the afore mentioned site is that the women can not view or interact with other female profiles and vice versa.

colombianonlinedating has it cause i`m the one who did it
its a cron job command that moves the girls to a girls group, it runs every 10 minutes
and the other part is changed in the template files where the member extension is used, to show members from a specifig group based on the group of the user logged in
