Hello, I have my site up and running (marketing is harder than building the site). Is there a way to work on a new template without interfering with my active template?

Vlad allows you to create a directory called test under the root of your primary vlad directory. You can use this test directory to play around with. Make sure you use the same license number you used on your primary directory.
I know its easy to be critical, so please take this in the way intended
For me the design is a bit "heavy", especially the thick red banners at the top, and the dark background.

I really like the colors I used but maybe you have a point about it being colored too heavy. I might work on a different look in the next few weeks.

I really like the layout.....the Member login and Quick search areas are nice and big...so are the tabs on the top of the page...nice....did you customize those areas to make them bigger ?,,,or are these the default settings?,,,,,if customized how can this be done?,,,,keep up the awesome work,,,yes I agree the marketing is a lot harder,,,:)
I changed all the fonts. The way I figure is that if this site ever becomes successful, most of the paid users will probably be older men and eyesight gets weaker as we get older.
I went into the CSS files for the template... then I do a find and replace. For example, find '11px' and replace '14px'
Or you can do a search the keyword 'font' and change each one.
