Topic: Facebook question...

Now that my site is up and running, I've been devoting my time to promoting it.  I love the advice from this forum on marketing and have initiated most of the suggestions.  Been relying mainly on facebook advertising and started getting some people 'Liking' my site (www.mistercupid.com).  I have yet to see one make a profile which is concerning but this is all a learning process.  Perhaps I should have went for a more specific niche and still might in the future.

I do have one question for you facebook pro's out there... is it possible to send a greeting/message to those people who have 'Liked' my site on facebook?

I also wrote an article and got it published to ezine... don't know if that will pay off but it was fun anyways.  smile

Thanks,

Ken.

Re: Facebook question...

Hi Kendrick,

I don't believe sending a message to them is possible unless they have also added your profile page as a friend on facebook in addition to 'Like'ing it. It's not the same thing at all--"Like"ing will get you more visibility from facebook users but it's not the same as a personal contact which you'll only get when someone adds you as a friend on Facebook--and that's the only situation in which you'll be able to send them a personal message. i mean you could add them as a friend and send a message saying "Thanks for Liking me On Facebook. Want to be friends?" Or something like that but it seems pretty pushy to me. Hope that helps.

Starting to get new members to trickle in... pretty fun to check everyday to see who has signed up.  smile

Re: Facebook question...

Create a facebook Page. Put  a like button on your site for the Page you created. If they like it they become a fan. You than can send email to your fans.

Re: Facebook question...

db3204, how do you send an email to your fans?  I did add a Facebook 'Like' and 'Update Status' link and have 55 Likes now.  I just don't know how to send those Likes an email.  Thanks.
