Topic: phpBB3 - Please help

HI

I am about to give up now.
I installed phpBB3 on my server, using same database as the Vld script.
All installed correctly, database updated and works - and here it stops for my knowledge.

I am totally lost. I am no programmer (but starting to realize we have to be to use this script) :-(
I use Nightluv design/template, and now, i need someone who can help me to make the forum run Inside the site, and not as a separate site.
I need help to all settings, and to make sure the forum runs 100% correctly with right set permissions, and integrated as its suppose to be.

Of course i am willing to pay for your help, cause the alternative is to throw the whole crap out and find a day job :-)
Let me know if you can help, and at what cost.

I hope for some replies from someone who is willing to help, cause sending me a lot of codes how to do, will result in me messing up the whole site :-).

I am using phpbb3 into vldpersonals since a couple of years, but I am planning to move to punBB.
I don't want to go into boring details. I just say there is something not good about members deletion if you want to keep their messages into the forum to not affect all topics in which they wrote.

Moreover, phpbb3 it's a very good script with lot of features if you want to run just a forum, but they are not realaly needed into a dating site.

Moving to punBB will not solve the problems about a perfect integration into vldpersonal, anyway it will be very easier to manage a simple forum like punBB.

The only reason I still haven't moved to punbb it's because it seems the project had some problems and some developers created a fork that is named FluxBB. I am just waiting to understand if punBB has been abandoned or not, otherwise it will have no sense to me to move to it.

I am not sure about this. It seems punBB will continue, but it has been bought by a company that doesn't seem to spend efforts to improve it. Some developers of punBB created the fork FluxxBB and it seems they want to go on with that project and keep it alive and more active.

Anyway, I am going to ask to Vlad to provide integration for FluxxBB too.
