Topic: predefined search query result on homepage

Hello!

I want to show on the homepage (index.php) a special predefined search query result.
For example show all man.
Is there an easy way to make this work? I tried a lot like JavaScript auto form submit and lib.homepage.php modification but did not get it work, because the search query is always together with the session id…

Please could you help me?

Thanks,
Helmut

If you have some mysql knowledge, you can modify the query that displays latest members, that will be the easiest way to go. You can find it in "includes/lib/lib.homepage.php"

Re: predefined search query result on homepage

Hi Vlad!

Yes – I tried this. But I have no idea how to display more user fields (age, city, size, …). I always get there {something} … outputs, because the fields are not found. I am sure that there are some changes needed to:
// Get members
// Assign common values
// Assign profile fields
to make all field able for output – but how is this done??
Would be absolutely great if you could place here a modified lib.homepage.php that assignes all user profil field to make them able to show up within a homepage.tpl site.

Thanks a lot,

Helmut

You can look up fields selection and assigning in "includes/lib/lib.favorites.php" starting from like 290.
