I have a question. Are the IP addresses shown in the members profile absolutely 100% correct?
I occasionally get someone who appears to to be honest in filling out their profile, and I have no reason to suspect anything other, but their IP address shows that they are registering from someplace totally different from what they declare.
I get this also, but often find that it is because they plan to travel to that area, and want to meet people there. However, I do get scammers using "USA" or somesuch when they are actually in Cote D'Ivoire. The IP numbers I've checked seem to be correct.

You can never be sure that IP is a 100% correct. If user is behind a proxy or firewall it may not be possible to fetch their real IP.
The country associated with an IP adress is based on what information is stored in for example RIPE ( for europe ) and ARIN ( for america ), this information is not always correct, especially for ISP's that are represented in multiple countrys, therefor you can never be 100% sure that the user is really located at where the IP says he or she is.
