Topic: My thoughts on vldpersonals and suggestions...

Hello im a new around here and i ordered vldpersonals. I just thought i should write a review I hope this is okay.

Pros:
First i want to say i am impressed by the fast friendly and customer service they give here.
And the software is not very expensive at all.
Software is super fast. I havent had any errors or anything.
I like these forums, there is lots of know here.
Its not filled with a bunch a junk. I had researched some other dating software and they were huge and slow.

Cons.
My first impression was the layout it is a bit plain and alot of clicking involved. Thats all i can think of. I think vldpersonals has alot of potential. I was bored and i created an example on how it would look better.Here is a picture.

Does anyone know if this kinda template is possible? I am interested but i think it requires re-doing everything. Thanks!

I like this layout very much. Sure it's possible to implement. Do it yourself or order at vldpersonals team for fair price.

Really? I really like it alot too. Thats awsome i am going hand in some of my stuff. I have also created a layout for the main page when you are logged in. Im going to ask wish me luck!

I wish you good luck! And don't forget to check your design in all "main" browsers: Mozilla FireFox, IE etc.

I have to agree there, that would be a nice layout. I'm a bit too lazy to code it though for my site. It is possibly but you would probably have to code a few extensions to get the info for the blog/audio/video/friends etc... (Just some basic - intermediate php/mysql).

I'm definately a fan of having most of the stuff on one page like blog, comments, videos etc... as most people don't bother clicking the blog/audio/video buttons.

I wish i could code. I baerly know any basic stuff. I have started learning a bit i wish i could go to school to learn code but i dont have much time and i gotta work. Ive started learning a bit online. Any advice anyone could give me? How big is the world of html and css?

I did something similar with the drop down list for the User CP. I got rid of the left hand column to make more space and put it all on a dropdown list like the one you have in the pic.

As for advice on html/css, just read online manuals/guides and teach yourself. That will give you the basic design skills, then you can dive into php/mysql (a lot harder) once you know what your doing with html/css.
