Topic: Adsense

My site is free membership and i use adsense. I was wondering how many use Adsense only to generate their revenue and how are you doing so far.

I don't think vlad markets vldPersonals this way, but by far it is the easiest I have ever seen to setup an adsense site. Even if you have a paid site, it doesn't hurt to have adsense to help with the revenue.

Re: Adsense

I use Adsense on all of the sites within my network, which includes several forums, blogs, and the new dating site.  I'm doing okay even prior to the dating site, not a lot but enough to cover hosting for all sites so I'm pretty happy about that.  I know several people were able to make enough money through adsense to quit their day job.  I try to diversify the revenue stream for my company, so we actually have regular advertisers in addition to an actual retail business.

Hey Vtec

I think I saw some of your sites. You are into motorcycles, right? I think it is against googles TOS to publicly  display what you make, but I will say I make enough to pay my monthly house payment and then some.

My goal is to own several sites and if I'm lucky quit my day job. If not, I look at having adsense sites like a retirement package. By the time I retire, I hope the income will be more than adequate to take care of retirement needs.

Re: Adsense

Yeah, I have a motorcycle forum in the network.  It's one of the older and more profitable sites (going on 6 years now).

I don't think it's against Google's TOS to disclose how much you make total, but how much you make per click.  The owner of PlentyOfFish told several magazines he makes about $10,000 a day through Adsense.  That's a lot of money but his site ranks #1 in Canada and #6 in US.
