What does that mean exactly? Does my template come with the ability to create forums or is this something that has to be added on separately at an additional cost?

Forum integration involves sharing user accounts and nothing else. This means that whenever someone registers at your vldPersonals site, an account will be automatically created on your forum. Whenever someone logs into your vldPersonals site, they'll be automatically logged into the forum. This allows you to let your members use both products seamlessly without having to register/login twice.
