Topic: Collect all outward emails to one page

I dont know if this has been brought up before,

But, what about a page where all messages that went out from admin to member gets collected there, like "Outbound Messages" - custom messages and automated ones.

For example, when a profile is approved, but I might have changed the username, I would like to see if it used the old or new username, etc, I would just like to keep track of all the messages that go out. and to whom it went out to

What might also help is that you could sort them by:
Activation letters
Newsletters
Upgrade letters
Lost password letters
Validated letters
Declined members.

Is this possible? * My disclaimer * I havent given this much thought, so positive and negative comments are welcome

Good thought. I wonder if this could be done through a sql query. I use a query to collect all email addresses of members who have not uploaded an image to their gallery using phpmyadmin, so my thought is, maybe if we knew the query string for your request the same thing can be done. Not sure, but vlad should be able to tell us smile

It's possible but what would be the point of it? If you need to put it some comments for your members, you may create a new field only visible for you.

Re: Collect all outward emails to one page

I just need to keep track of whats being sent to my members to easily refer back to a certain email and to see if emails has actually been sent and maybe when, cos especially when I move a member to canceled members, I would like to see if theyve got a message informing them and the other way round. If it didnt I can send them a custom message

It just happened within the last few weeks that I really wanted to find something in a certain automated message but I couldnt and I couldnt refer back to it. I'm sure I'll have to have this custom scripted then if it's not a very popular request?

I just need it, I do not actually have a reason or an answer, but, when I need it it's not there....

Thanks for the quick response
