I spend a lot of time sending individual Emails to new members who's IP address is from another country than they say they are from. (usually from Africa), before I decline them.  I usually ask them to send me their complete mailing address so I can verify it. Normally I don't get any answer. This is the case in 3 out of 4 new members.

From what I read in the forums, I know this is a big problem and it can also be costly. I recently had 3 charge backs from PayPal from people who I thought were legitimate but were using stolen credit card numbers, (male members, and you guessed it, they were from Africa). The charge backs cost me double the membership fee plus the membership fee! I now decline all members from Africa but other countries are also involved and I would still like to first give the member a chance confirm their location or correct their profile.

OK, about my feature request, I would like to be able to add the field {IP_address} to my activation Email. I would include a link to a website where they can check for themselves where they are registering from and give them a chance to correct their profile or send a response before I decline their account. (Sometimes they are working temporarily in another country and put in their home country in their profile, which is understandable).

This would save me a lot of work.
