An RSS feed (outgoing) would be very nice. It was requested before but seems to have fallen by the wayside smile

rss feed "outgoing" pardon my ingnorance but waht would this feed show exactly?

new members, news or whatever... it commonly used, and helps to attract interest/sign ups.

RSS has two legs. The site that can display RSS is one part and the other part is the person who wants to subscribe to your RSS feed. For example, if I had a photo gallery with RSS a member could subscribe to my RSS feed. The subscriber uses a RSS reader to read my RSS feed. Everytime I add a new member or photo, the subscriber would see this update on his reader without having to visit the site.

There are two types of readers -- desktop (most popular) and server side reader. With a desktop reader all they have to do is plug in the RSS url in the reader and they are kept updated right from their desktop.

The other big advantage of RSS is search engines. Man, it is like link exchange on steroids.

There is tons of info on it. I tried to stay away from most of the  jargon above, but the concept is pretty much the same no matter what terminology they use to describe it.
