Topic: Specific Friend Finder

Hello, sorry if I do not use the correct terminology.

I would like to know if the following is possible with this package....

1. I need to be able to have users register before use of the site.

2. I need them to be able to create a profile and then put in some information regarding what football team they used to play for and what part of the country they played in.

3. This is the important bit - I need that information to be searchable by other users. A search filter that allows the user to search by name, keyword or just blanket search by area of the country and then be able to private message that person?

Can that be done by me with with this package?

as a user of this software i'll give you an answer from my point of view. if you want to be 100% sure about the answer you get, please wait for vlad (developper of this script) to give you an answer. in the meantime i hope you'll be satisfied with my answer wink

1. possible

2. you have the option to make fields mandatory for registration. you may set up profile fields as you like, free text fields, pull down menues with existing football teams and countries.

3. possible, therefore i'd suggest to use pull down menues so it's easier to search

i don't see any problems to realize your wishes. maybe i have missinterpreted something but it doesn't seem to be difficult smile

Yep, you can create/edit profile fields right in the control panel.
