Tell us what your integration settings are and how do you have your site structured. Is vldP in the root and the forum in its own folder? That was the reason why I could not get it to sync properly. vldP needed to be in the root of my site and the forum needed to be in its own folder. Once I got the structure correct, I was able to sync vldP with the forum. The other possibility is that your settings are wrong in your CP for forum integration. What are your settings in the CP?

In CP under settings/integration what is your settings. If your settings are correct did you sync your forum -- CP - Utilities - Update Counters - Sync Forum

I had a same problem, all this happen after i upgrade to new version 2.5.1.. i don't  think this have to do with my configuration, since all use to work just fine can i dont see problem of sync. Any idea why it not auto login??

I didn't change anything on any setting in my website, all works fine with 2.4.X but since i upgraded 2.5.X.. it just dont auto login anymore.

This is very strange tho..

Evapige...I use Vanilla. Maybe this will help

Step 1

Install your database in its own folder. In this example I installed it in a folder called forum. VldP is installed in the root.

Step 2

Set Forum Integration Settings  in CP (I use vanilla forum)

Relative forum URL:     forum/

Relative return URL:     ../

Table prefix:        LUM_

Database host:        localhost

Database name        type the name of  sql database you created here - goodtime_forum
   
Database username     type the username  for the  sql database you created - goodtime_forum
   
Database password     type the password you assigned to the database you created

NOTE: if you do not know how to properly display your database's name and username, please contact your host (in some cases you have to put your host's username before the name of the database and the username assigned to that database -- i.e. goodtime_forum). Goodtime is my host username and forum is the database name. 

Step 3

In CP Syn your database

Utilities - Update Counters - Synchronize third party member database

That is it. Here are images to show it works

Thanks for your response to me, unfortunately, it dosent helps me because I have done as you describe, and it will still not work. I installed vanilla 7 times now and performed all steps all 7 times. My members are registered in vanilla, they are just not logged in automatically. Hmm maybe I should move the database. Has the vanilla in the same database as VLD. I wish I knew why. My only other suggestion is to download the latest module frolder from vld site and upload. I think there was a bug at one time and maybe you still have the older files.

Your module folder is under includes/modules. I would download a new copy of vldP and upload the module folder to your server to see if that fixes the problem. I hope so.

I want this fix too, i'm running vld 2.5.1 and new members all have this problem.

The only place I can download software is from my download area in my account. I would do this.

1. download the latest version of vldPersonals (full version).

2. once it is downloaded, unzip the file.

3. in the unzip file you will see a folder called includes. In the includes folder, you will see a folder called modules. The module folder contains all the mods for the forums. I would upload the latest modules folder to my server. Make sure you upload it to the includes folder.

Foutchy....since this is your first post, I'm guessing you recently downloaded vldP. It would seem you have the latest version with fixes, but not sure.
