How PayPal works on your site:

Note: Payment options are only available with Commercial License Edition
If you have a Personal License Edition, membership payments are not available

To allow membership payments with a Personal License Edition, an upgrade to a  Commercial License Edition is required. to upgrade click here

How you get paid from your site memberships

Member logs in and go to their profile page.
Member clicks [Settings] then Upgrade account link.
Member selects the membership package they want.
Member clicks the PayPal button.
Member is redirected to a secure paypal page
member enters their (PayPal) email and password
Member pays you on secure PayPal pages.
When transaction is complete the member returns to your site after payment.

To allow Payment via Authorize.net
In the Control Panel
[Settings] ---» under the Options" menu ---» [Payment gateways] ---» select group ---»[Authorize.net]
Enable Authorize.net ---» [Yes] or [No]
Login ID  ---» type in your Authorize.net login ID
Transaction ID  ---» type in your Authorize.net transaction  ID

[Submit]

To allow payment via PayPal
Step1: enable PayPal payments to you
In the Control Panel
[Settings] ---» under the Options" menu ---» [Payment gateways] ---» select group ---»[Paypal]
Enable PayPal ---» [Yes] or [No]
Email Address----»  Enter your paypal account email
Currency ---» Select your desired currency
[Submit]

Step 2: Set-up your payment package(s)
In the control panel
Settings---»Packages--» manage packages
add package
Name----» The name of your package
Price -----» The price of your package
Term --- --» The number of [Days] or [Months] or [Years] the membership package is good for 
Recurring----» Automatically charge member's PayPal account to renew membership.   
Group----» After payment is verified Members are moved to this group
Description ----» Summery of what membership includes.     
Convert new lines-----» convert new lines into proper html tags automatically.
[Submit]

Step 3: Test the payment gateway
Log in as a regular Member
Click--- My profile
Click ---  Upgrade
Select a package
Click the paypal Button
Click the pay now button
the transaction is processed through PayPal
Click the “return to merchant” button

To move member to the Member Group you selected  in Step 2
login your paypal email account and verify the funds were transferred into your account
login into your vldPersonals website
In the control panel
Settings---»Packages--» Add orders
enter the username of the paid member
select package member paid for
[submit]

The member is now in the Member Group you selected  in Step 2   

***Special notes***
Payment security and PCI compliance:
Your members financial data is safe because your members ONLY pay on the secure PayPal pages and PayPal handles all the complexities of storing and handling sensitive payment data.

When members are redirected to the secure PayPal page,
The following information is displayed on the PayPal secure payment page
Your paypal email address
Package name
Package cost

If you do not want your personal email address to appear on the PayPal payment page, you have many options to choose from:
1-Upgrade your Paypal account to premier account
2-Upgrade your PayPal account to business account
3-Use a different PayPal address such as paypal@yourweb_site.com
