Yes (but non dating) and no idea - cos it is one of many links helping me achieve #2 ranking in Google US for a popular key term.   At the same time, because of this, I am not really wanting to discontinue it as doing so may negatively affect my rankings.

I think it is waste of money. There are better ways to build strong backlinks.

It's not really worth it, as there are too many strong free directories like DMOZ etc.

DMOZ is a royal pain in the butt.

(mostly) Impossible to get listings.

I am Editor in DMOZ but is a waste of time, i agree. At the beginning it was ok, now...is not so useful anymore.

Its a fair bit of money but could be worth that extra link? Im no expert on SEO. I spend my money on article submission services and link building with my other sites. Only cause Im a one man band at the moment and kinda cant be everywhere.
