How to Set Basic System Settings
In the Control Panel
[Settings] ----» Select group [general]
Is system on? ----» If enabled, front end of system will be visible to members who have access to the system.
Name of your site ----» The name that will appear in the title bar of the web browser.
Description of your site ----» Website Description helps you get higher ranking is search engines.
Keywords of your site ----» Enter keywords separated by comma (example) dates, friends, soul-mates
Search friendly URLs [Yes] or [No] (Note 1)
Short member URLs [Yes] or [No]

Should I use Search Friendly URL's?
Answer
If your server supports it, you'll be able to use search friendly URLs, so yes.
it's advisable to have it (though not required).
How to Setup Your PHP Email System
PHP mail is the system default setting. So even if you did not set-up your SMTP email settings in the control panel, you and your members will still receive emails from the system. Albeit PHP Mail is a tad slower then SMTP mail. You may also contact your host provider and ask them to provide you with your SMTP setting.
In the Control Panel
[Settings] ---» Select group ---» [Emails]
Administrator's email -------------» Member activity notifications sent to this email address.
Return email name ----------------» The name inserted into auto-generated emails.
Return email address for emails -» Return address for auto-generated emails. (Note 2)
Emails per batch -------------------» Number of emails to send out per batch. (Note 3)
Delay between batches (sec) -----» Delay in seconds between email batches sent out.
Email protocol ----» [PHP Mail]
Emails format ----» [Plain] --» Format of emails sent out. (Note 4)
[Submit]
Note 2 - If this is blank, many email server will consider the email as spam.
Note 3 - The number emails Batch mode will send during one interval
Note 4 – formats the outgoing messages in Plain text or HTML text
(a) [HTML] makes links click-able.
(b) [Plain] relies on your email client to automatically make links click-able.
How to Enable the Contact Us Form
In the Control Panel
[Settings] ---» under the “Options” menu ---» [Content modules]
Select group --» [Feedback]
Enable feedback form --» [Yes] or [No]
Feedback email --» Email address comments are sent to.
Feedback subjects --» Drop-down list of subjects inserted to the subject line of feedback form
Enable feedback captcha --» [Yes] or [No]
You may add /edit the Feedback subjects list of subjects as you see fit.
[Submit]
How to Enable the Openinviter
In the Control Panel
[Settings] ---» under the “Options” menu ---» [Content modules]
Select group --» [Friend Invites]
Enable Openinviter ---» [Yes] or [No]
Invitation subject ---» Enter your invite subject as you see fit..
Invitation message --» You may edit the standard text and /or enter your own message as you see fit.

How to Edit Email Templates
In the Control Panel

Select template ---» Edit the Emails template(s) as you see fit.
How to Edit the Site Offline Page
In the Control Panel
[Content] ---» [Manage pages] ---»[General] ---» [Offline]
You may edit the standard text and /or enter your own offline message as you see fit.

Name* ---» You may edit the welcome label header as you see fit
Page ---» You may edit the body of the text as your see fit

How to Set-up Email Verified Registrations
In the Control Panel:
[Settings] ---» under the “Quick jump” menu --» [System settings] ---» Select group ---» [Registration]
Select the option(s) you want:
Allow registrations [Yes] or [No]
Account activation type (see activation types below)
[Submit]
Which activation type you select will determine if new member verification email is sent out or not, and if the admin must approve or decline the new member account.
No activation required = Members can use the site without email verification.
Self activation via email = Member must verify their email by clicking the activation link sent to their email.
Manual activation by administrator = Admin must approve or decline all new member accounts.
How to Set the Default Country Field
In the Control Panel
[Settings]---» under the “Quick jump” menu ----» [Custom fields] ----» [Members]
Select the group you want to edit [General] ----» [Country]
Select the country you want to set as default.
[Submit]
How to Define Terms for Simple and Advanced Search
In the control Panel
[Settings] ---» under the “Quick jump” menu ---» [Custom fields] ---» select the profile group you want
[Home and Family] ---» Select the field you want to edit / add to Simple / Advanced search
[Have Kids]
Load in simple search ---» [Yes] or [No]
Load in advanced search ---» [Yes] or [No]

How to Enable / Disable Watermarks on Avatars
[Settings]---» under “options” menu [Member Modules] ---» Select group ---» [Avatars]
Put watermark on photos [Yes] or [No]
[Submit]
Note: Avatars are the member's main profile image
How to Enable / Disable Watermarks on Pictures
[Settings]---» under “options” [Member Modules] ---» Select group ---» [Pictures]
[Pictures]
Put watermark on original image [Yes] or [No]
[Thumbnails]
Put watermark on thumbnail image [Yes] or [No]
[Submit]
Notes:
A-Thumbnails are small images generated by the software from pictures uploaded by members.
B- Pictures are images uploaded by members.
C- For uploaded video files you can delete the overlay image in the media/overlay_player.png
there is no option to disable video watermarks through the control panel yet.
D-Watermarking is only available with commercial version -- not personal version.
E - There are two kinds of watermarks - for profile photos and album pictures.
Make sure you disabled both.
If you disable watermarks on avatars, it won't put them on large images either.
How to Enable the Global picture page
In the Control Panel
[Settings] ---» under the “options” menu [Member modules] ---» Select group ---» [Pictures]
[General]
Enable picture rating----» [Yes] or [No] (Note 5)
Enable global picture page ----» [Yes] or [No] (Note 6)
[Submit]

[Yes] ---» When members upload avatars and pictures, the avatars and pictures are automatically added to website Hot or Not picture gallery.

How to Enable the Global Blogs page
In the Control Panel
[Settings] ---» under the “options” menu [Member modules] ---» Select group ---» [Blogs]
Enable global blogs page ----» [Yes] or [No] (Note 7)
[Submit]

[Yes] ---» When members create a blog, the blogs are automatically added to website blogs page.
How to Edit Member Privileges
In the Control Panel
[Settings] ---» under the “Quick jump” menu ---» [Member groups]
Select the member group you want to edit.
You may then edit your Member group and your member group privileges to allow / disallow members functions as you see fit.
