I have always regarded MySpace as where younger teenagers went, to try and talk hip with their friends, whilst Facebook went for the more "people within my social circle" network.
Now, it seems that MySpace users are migrating to Facebook, and bringing their immaturity with them.
There are so many 'books', or varieties thereof, that MySpace needs to try and find itself a different identity and image, and break away from the younger users, who are migrating anyway.
I don't think a face lift will help it.
Perhaps if it focused on a different area, such as the place for up-and-coming rock bands, it may grow a unique user base, and get the advertising revenue that goes with it.
Otherwise, sooner or later, you'll type myspace.com into your browser, and it will come up with one of those generic pages saying that "this domain name may be for sale" ...mywhat?
