Hi there,
I am a newbie here and before I purchase vld I have a few questions :
- FB Connect : Not a standard feature but still possible to install ?
- Open inviter : Same ? do i need to buy a seprarte extension ? or do you get it with the software ?
- Gift Store : I understand I can purchase a package from Fatlizard. But what if I want to set up my own creation ?
- Do you have a communauty of vld freelancer able to perform  tasks on request or do i have to go through VLD and ask for a quote for any customization ? just that I don't quite know yet what I want...
- I have a very basic undertstanding of html  can I run vld without having to take classes ?

Not included by default but if you're familiar with php, then yes, it's possible to add it.

Openinviter is supported. All you have to do is install it and vldPersonals will automatically integrate it. There's a tutorial in our online documentation on how to do it.

Not sure what package you're talking about. vldPersonals has a "gifts" feature and you can create new gifts in the control panel. You can also charge "credits" for sending gifts.

We offer customization services for you convenience. If you prefer you may find a freelancer elsewhere too. vldPersonals is open source so any developer can customize it.

Yes. You can run and manage our software without any programming knowledge. However if you plan on customizing it, then yes, you need to be familiar with html. This applies to pretty much any web based software.

Hello Poppy92,

I need to clarify what the Gifts mod. I did exactly is, to avoid possible misunderstandings.

From vld2.5.5 Gifts were incorporated into the program, and continue to do so.
These are not physical gifts, but virtual representations of Gifts, to express whatever the user wants to try and convey - whimsical, romantic, just-because, etc.

The mod. I did allows for users who still use vld2.5.3 or less to use the same system of Gifts that is in the later releases. No more, no less.
Why?
Because some users who are using vld -/= 2.5.3 have customized their sites to such an extent they are wary of upgrading, so this plugs a little hole for them, should they so choose.

As for the rest of the questions you asked, I think they've been answered adequately, although I may add a bit about OpenInviter.
OpenInviter is a program developed separately, but one that can be used with vldpersonals.
It is a free download (available here), and there are instructions elsewhere on the vldpersonals site that explain how to install it.

Hi there,
Thank you for your quick and comprehensive answers.
Regarding virtual gifts, I  have an artist friend designing very nice drawings. I want to feature her creations. So I understand this easy to upload?
For a developper, I am located in France targeting French speaking users. I don't know if you have any documentations in French?
Anyway,  I could oen a ticket and ask for a quote when I know what I want specifically ?
Now, one last question : I am not sure to go with your software or PG Pro. Any words from you ?

Hi there,
My main concern is more about documentatio, since my developer does not speak English.
I think VLD is much cheaper for the same features than PG pro but again they have French support.
