Topic: Hot or Not and Adsense?

Dear VLD Personals,

My question is perhaps better suitable for one of your other support forums, but since this is my first post and since I don't have privileges to write in other forums, I am posting it here.

I noticed your software has "Hot or Not" feature which rotates member pictures on 1 page.  It's one of those features that is progressively addictive for users and generates tons of page views. The feature can be disabled. However, I was wondering, would it be safe to display Adsense ads on Hot or Not page? Google may think that people are simply "refreshing" the page, because as pictures change, link stays the same. You can try it here:

As you rate pictures, link will stay exactly the same as if you are refreshing the page... Perhaps, we shouldn't include Google Ads on that page?

I have one more quick question:

I would like to purchase VLD Personals and play with it on PowWeb server (test it, add some profiles, develop a template etc) before I move the script from PowWeb to dedicated hosting.

Now, is PowWeb fine for VLD?

You will notice there is no mention of GD image library on their web site, but in their forums they claim they actually have GD library included.

I've never heard of them. Why don't you get some recommendations. Make sure they have ioncube installed too. And a dedicated host could be an expensive way to start. Who ever you choose, before you sign up, email them with some questions to be sure its all you need and want. if the replies are slow, go elsewhere.

It's irrelevant and doesn't affect google ads in any way.

Now, is PowWeb fine for VLD?

Yes, they seem to meet all necessary requirements. However the best way to confirm it is to contact your hosting provider and refer them to this page http://www.vldpersonals.com/explore/requirements/

dragon, thanks man, I will make sure they have ioncube installed (I am pretty sure they do).
I will use their services only temporarily, until I get everything up and running (will also ask VLD to customize template for me, they have some kick ass templates). I've been planning everything for some time.

I picked two domains (still haven't decided which one to use!!!)
I only plan to buy 1 licence for 1 domain, so I better decide which domain to use.

Your license is not permanently assigned to any single domain. You can change domains at any time.
