Topic: [2.6] How to set the system to allow only straight relationships?

I want to configure the system so that males can only search for and view female profiles, and vice versa.

Is there an easy way to configure this in the control panel?

Otherwise, can someone give me a clue on how to do this?

Thanks. smile

I asked Vlad and this is his reply:

Well the easiest way to do it is edit the search form so that members can search for only opposite gender.

You may also edit 'templates/your_template/member_profile.tpl' and add code similar to this:
<!-- IF !loggedin OR session.profile_gender1 == profile_field_gender1_value_id -->
show members profile
<!-- ELSE -->
show error message
<!-- ENDIF -->

I would also love to know. I pasted it in and nothing happened. I was still able to search for men as a man
