Topic: Need to hide profile field but have value available

I have added the ability for a member to include a personal youtube video on their profile. I used the instructions provided by db3204 (Thanks for these!) and have it working about 99%.

I would like to hide the field that contains the youtube id but still need it available obvious to show the video. I spent a couple of hours reading through the boards but cannot find a solution that give me exactly what I want.

Initially it displayed like this: YouTube ID: 123456789

I was able to get it to display as: YouTube ID: I'll tell you later (video still is available)

Ideally I would like the member to see this field when editing their profile but not have it display in the group.

Any thoughts?

I am also interested in how this works out. I have implemented member profile backgrounds and would like them to display, but I need to hide the long string of the image filename from the member's profile.  Any chance someone could revisit DDNY's original request? How can we hide profile field questions while still allowing them to load in the profile?
