I think its about time we have a more complex and better matchmaking system. I have a matrimonial site and its in dire need of better one.

Some members of mine, usually females) ask for something that show compatibility between their profile and the other members profiles.
I think this can be done adding a questionnary containing at least 100 questions. Then the system will show compatibility percentage between members that compiled the questionnaire.
I know this is not a main feature, but I am receiving lot of request about this. It seems females like this kind of things. (Females also like daily horoscope).

After filling out a form to calculate and that aligns the profiles supported by the order of percentage, for example
Paul is a profile compatible with you 98%
Bill is a profile compatible with you 97%
Obama is a profile compatible with you 96%
vlad could develop the system, the questionnaire each site owner would do its
I hope 3.0 come out with a good match making system we all are waiting for. CANNOT WAIT VLAD. just concentrate on the match making system nothing else.

Well friends, putting together a system in VLD to have questions where you can define question is not a big deal. The major work is to develop the matching algorithm and have the right question to get a psychological personality profile from the user and then you need to have deep knowledge in how to mach people based on the profiling.
It is not like matching I am looking for people who have same hobbies, like same music, sports, age of gender. What I men was a personality profiling and matching where you compare the level in Dominant, Empathy, Distance, Relationship priorities, Living motivations .....

An yes than you become a list o people based on an Index and you can compare them with you in over 42 behavior topics

I too think that into a dating site a matchmaking system is needed and appreciated by members, but the only possible way to do it is just providing a "data/informations percentage matching".
This is just my opinion:
Every serious and professional psychologyst will tell you:
a) when filling personality tests people answer what they like to answer or what they think it's right to answer
b) test results provide just "basic" informations that psychologist has to detect, assess and verify
c) personality is a very complex characteristic and cannot be measured by numbers/algorithm or defined by few adjectives
d) psychologist absolutely "need" to directly talk with the person and interview him
All those mean that doesn't exist a test to profile/measure personality.
Moreover, considered that we cannot profile personality with just a test, it has no sense to compare people/personalities and suggest who to meet or not... Our suggestions could be totally wrong.
To finish, in the real life you can see two similar personalities that behave differently with a same third person.
I think it's a lie and not honest to tell people that is possible to (1) profile their personality with only tests and (2) help them to find their match using the results of a test.

Simply because this site has the best compatibility test
profiles, so that is the trademark.

Especially to the questionnaire module. That's a biggy for doing matchmaking.
I even see problems with sexual orientation in my matches currently. Like gay guys will get straight guys profiles under that tab.

Vlad add this feature to this coming version.
Give us the control in the CP, when we create a profile field to have the option "Add to compatibility test" so that the system give the percentage.
I think its ok if you can give us the ability to enable or disable it.
I believe this is one of the basic features needed in dating websites, to add a little attraction to the website.
Vlad if you've got your own better way give us.
