Topic: Quick Search
Hi everyone,
I’m new around here, have just purchased VLD and I love it!!!
I have been working on my website for a couple of weeks now, and I have figured out the coding just enough to able to make the changes I needed so far, but I came across something I just can’t get done.
I have two “User Types”, “members” and “couples”, just so that I have different fields for each type of users. What I’m trying to accomplish is to be able to cross search the profile types in the quick search.
I was told by the developer that it can be done if I change something at the “quick search” extension, but since I’m no programmer, that is kind of out of my league.
Hope someone could point me on the right direction or tell me if there is a way of getting different fields for certain types of members without having to use two “Member Types”
I'm using 2.7

At the /search/ page we can choose the search type, but that only works inside a user type. We would need additional search labels and items in the fields. Just to add items does not effect anything, but how can we add a new search label for these items? (Settings » Profile types » Profile groups » Fields » Edit field)
