Hi, i'm new here.

My VLDP 2.7 site has just been installed and I'm about to embark on designing a new template
or buying a good one and redesigning it a little bit...
or having one 100% designed from scratch for me...
(I'm not sure yet)...

I've read the forum to look for advice and issues, and I was wondering if you had any preliminary piece of advice about the new guy in town as far as having  a decent yet economical template that's not a nightmare when the time comes to install VLDP 3.0. My number one goal is to avoid complications.

I'm wondering how long it takes to create and integrate a new template (once you have the images ready).

Do you know any good resource for a guy like me who'd like to learn how to create a good (compatible, simple) template. It seems strange to me that one should create a photoshop image...
