Does anyone know what the best ways are, to promote a dating website.
Are there any other major ways, besides Adwords ?
And SEO ?

I want to try this by making my website a "100% free dating website " .

I am willing to spend alot of money on marketing, but currently I have not thought of a budget.

My sites are 100% Free. Here is some of the things I do.
1. I use facebook advertising in the Philippines to get lady members. My sites are asian niche.
2. I must of written at least 500 articles by now (I lost count) and submitted them to article directories
3. I add new content to my site that has my keywords in them. The more content I have indexed by google, the better my chances of someone finding my site when they use google search engine.
4. I spend a lot of time with viral marketing. Probably my best effort is getting current members on my site to talk about the site when they use their facebook accounts.
5. When the opportunity presents itself, I take advantage of it. For example if someone asks on Yahoo Answers what is the best asian dating site, I will plug my site.

facebook is better to advertise. more target market and traffic. i use facebook ads and love it!!

GuyMat and sowers may of answered your question for me. I will say I have used adwords at one time. Over time, my results became less and cost became more.
Facebook gives me more value for my budget dollar. If I got the same value from adwords, I would use it as well but at this moment, adwords is not cost effective for my niche.
Your end game is to try to build up your site so you are found by search engines on some good keywords. Filipina eyes (may main site) I may run an ad for facebook twice a week. It is established enough for some good keywords that people find it using google.
All you have to do is take a look at my signature for the forum to see what keywords I'm trying to establish in google. When you put a URL on another site pointing to your site, always include your keywords in the link. A lot of people will put the link like this http://www.filipinaeyes.com/onlline-dating-gallery. When you think about it, when a person searches for a dating site in google, they use words that relate to their search. They don't use url's in google when searching, but keywords.
