I've seen many people comment on this through the forum but haven't found a clear answer to this problem. The matchmaker system matches your fields in your profile information with profile information of the opposite gender, with the other general fields.

Now this is the problem with matchmaker if I understand it correctly:

There needs to be more fields for you to add to describe your ideal partner which matchmaker can use. This can be done simply in CP.

But, the most important field missing  is actually the field that's available on simple search, the age range field, with 2 drop down menus of ages. There needs to be a field in the account profile edit page where you can select an age range of the ideal person you're looking for. The matchmaker thing for me shows me women who are 60 years old, because there's nowhere for me to put an ideal parnter age range in.

It seems like a simple problem to fix in cp, but isn't. For example, you set up looking for "aged from" field and "aged to" field, both with drop down box 18-90 years. Let's say you select 18-25 range partner you are looking for. Then matchmaker is only going to find you someone else looking for age range 18-25, not the other person's actual age range being 18-25.
