Topic: How can I take out the message response number in message titles?

If Im having a conversation with someone on my personals site, it gives the number of the response in the title of the message

So itll look like this
Re[9]: hi there
Re[7]: hi there
Re[5]: hi there
Re[3]: hi there
Re: hi there

Is it possible to take that number out? So it only looks like this?
Re: hi there
Re: hi there
Re: hi there
Re: hi there

Open lib.account_messages.php

Find  

$subject = $restr.": ".$subject;

And replace it with

$subject = $subject;

do you know if it's still possible to have the RE: in front of it with the response?

Im just trying to avoid the number showing, but want to keep the rest

Change back the code to

$subject = $restr.": ".$subject;

Then comment out :

$restr .= "[". ( intval($matches[1]) + 1 ) ."]";
$restr .= "[2]";

with // infront of the line
