Topic: how do i display the gender icon beside the name?

Hi all,

  I'm wondering how to display the gender icon beside the name of currently online user.

I'm using this query the get users

{members:limit=0,cache_time=0,cache_name="latest_online",orderby="username",orderdir="asc",template="ext.members.whosonline.tpl"}

I'm missing the if part...

<!-- IF ??????? == "?????"  -->
    male icon
<!-- ELSE -->
    femele icon
<!-- ENDIF-->
<a href="{top.virtual_path}{member_profile_link}" rel="htmltooltip">{trim:member_username,9}</a><br />

thanks

Hey foutchy

Just a posting suggestion. Not sure if it is important for someone to help you. You may want to surround your code with the tags

{code}xxxxx{/code} so it does not get cut off the code in the post.

NOTE: I had to use {} to display....replace the { and } with the BBC brackets [ and ]

Foutchy, is your site monolingual? If yes. Or if even you use couple latin based languages you can do like this.

{profile_field_gender1_value} is tag that you need to display gender (Man, Woman).
So even without IFs you can do:

<img src="{top.virtual_tpl_path}{session.template}/media/icon_{profile_field_gender1_value}.gif" />

Make sure you've created icon_Man.gif, icon_Woman.gif (icon_Herr, icon_Frau etc.) before testings. And remember of case-sensitivity.
