Topic: Any one knows how to put favicon.ico for IE?

I put favicon.ico in root directory.
It works using Mozila Firefox but it doesn't work on IE.
Anyone knows how to show favicon.ico on IE?
And if it needs code, where to put it?
Thanks

Re: Any one knows how to put favicon.ico for IE?

Open yours templates header.tpl
find this:
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
and insert this below:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.yoursite.com/templates/yourstemplates/media/favicon.ico">

and I have a favicon.ico both in the root and in the templates mediafolder and now it work.

you can do a search on this and find tons of info, like gugu said, and also to create a favicon. Sometimes it takes a few days for it to work.

It's even better like this  :-)

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="{virtual_tpl_path}{session.template}/media/favicon.ico">

Some favicon generators:
http://www.genfavicon.com/
http://www.favicon.cc/
http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/
